The nuclear catastrophe is now in sight
The words that once were written
Few will know how to read them right
Pure air is just a memory
Did clean water ever exist?
Tired eyes of humble people
Worn-out faces, hearts dismissed
Living past forty is impossible
Life seems to fade away
Doomed to a fate so horrible
By the acts they chose to play
Insanity and deep depression
Humanity is torn apart
For those who challenged death’s obsession
Were caught within its binding heart
Anxiety and endless strife
Dead phrases left to say
All beliefs lost in this life
Many died with none to pray
Burning skin, bleeding wounds
Time itself begins to stall
The final lament of countless souls
Who slept without waking at all
One day is freezing, the next is heat
Extremes arrive to punish and scar
Man suffered defeat
Without learning how to love, by far
The nightmare is bitter and real
The pain strikes deep inside
Like a sharpened fatal steel
That lays the corpse down, dignified
The funeral ceremony brings
The rest that was deserved
For the one who reached the end
Never truly lived, nor served
Thirst spreads from land to land
A torment harsh and dry
No more tears left to stand
Even weeping has run dry
Hunger kills day by day
Wipes out nations in its path
All civilizations waste away
From famine’s ruthless wrath
What was once the Sun turns dark
What was joy becomes despair
A wall rises in the world’s heart
Splitting peace from rebel's lair
Prayers have long been forgotten
Those who prayed have also died
A tale so sad and downtrodden
With a hostile end implied
Many are succumbing still
To the fury of this genocide
Life is being forced to kneel
By its own hand – a suicide
Some countries seek control
Turn the world into a show
So they’ll brainwash every soul
Through the script that screens bestow
So they’ll wet their hands with greed
With numbers and with notes
So they’ll buy the silence they need
At the aim of their loaded throats
