Ezekiel's Call

True Strength

In the 6th Century B.C. Ezekiel, the Prophet was called!
By the banks of the Kebar River in the land of Shinar
Exiled from Judah when King Jehoiakim had been deposed
Out from the sky came a vision, that the prophet was shown!

A message from the sky
Of lament, mourning and woe!
The Watchman Prophet called to pronounce
Judgement from the Lord!

Speak to the people, Ezekiel
Go to the people of Israel
Speak to the people and do not fear
Your forehead will be hard as stone!

Speak to the people, Ezekiel
Go to the people of Israel
Speak to the people and do not fear
Your forehead will be hard as stone!

The Spirit had lifted me, in bitterness I returned
Back to the banks of the river, the land of Babylon!

A message from the sky
Of lament, mourning and woe!
In Tel Abib I sat with the exiles
Distressed for seven days!

Then the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet!
He spoke to me and said: Shut yourself inside your home
For they will bind you and your tongue will stick to the roof of your mouth
You will be silent and will not rebuke the people anymore!

A message from the sky
Of lament, mourning and woe!
The Watchman Prophet called to pronounce
Judgement from the Lord!

Speak to the people, Ezekiel
Go to the people of Israel
Speak to the people and do not fear
Your forehead will be hard as stone!

Speak to the people, Ezekiel
Go to the people of Israel
Speak to the people and do not fear
Your forehead will be hard as stone!

The Spirit had lifted me, in bitterness I returned
Back to the banks of the river, the land of Babylon!

A message from the sky
Lament, mourning and woe!
In Tel Abib I sat for seven days!
