Have given up my dreams and freedom
Let all of my fears take the control
No longer riding the light

The spiritual guides I’ve encountered
Throughout my life are now silent
Convictions are tested and barely hold
The dreamer/child part of me now feels betrayed
The sanctum’s been breached, all the sacred light fades
Once felt like tomorrow now feels far too late
If this is so right why can’t I find my way?
Why the waiting, assessing all the ones you’ve let down?
Give me wings to fly away
Until the Sun illuminates
It could be ours tomorrow
For love defines the way
Our time here left is borrowed
The healing starts today
What’s done is done
Now we write our obituary
