A hollow mask, this world's design
Where beauty weaves a crooked line
The fields are fair, the mountains tall
But shadows creep behind it all
We walk as ghosts in bright attire
While deep inside, a dying fire
The marrow rots within the bone
We build our lives on shifting stone
A shallow touch, a fleeting breath
We call it love, but crave for death
We built a God of ivory white
To hide our darkness from the light
Oh, the horizon bleeds in red
Above the towers of the dead
Beyond the rite, beyond the stone
You walked the valley all alone
From ivory heights to depths of clay
You wash the crimson sins away
I'm tired of songs that ring so hollow
Of empty paths that millions follow
The ceremony, the gilded cage
A painted mask upon the stage
I want the Truth, the thorn, the nail
The love that rent the sacred veil
I see the scars upon Your hands
The price that Mercy now demands
How great the ache, how deep the cost
To find the soul that once was lost
I stand in silence, overwhelmed
By grace that saved a broken realm
Jesus, the debt I cannot pay
Has been dissolved and washed away
No more a stranger in the night
I find my home within Your light
