ORPHALIS
As liar to self, afflicted thought and action
Restrained in chains, errors in refraction
Impulse control, to the brink of inaction
Or complete lack thereof
Unleashed chain reaction
Engorgement of the caustic
Born to revel in the gnostic
Capital "T" truth, reasoning’s deflected
The gnosis in, self-immolation rise
Decepting the conscious
Denial of the essence to seek
Crawling down the lifer's path
From awareness till death
The will to ingest, what must be swallowed whole
Is found beneath the pyre, ignited in unrest
Reject the guise of abjection
Misguided penance is born
Through guilt and deprecation
For sins that never were
Rejecting misguided penance

The only goal is acceptance
Of a life that follows will
The intrinsic ugliness (revelation)
Of what may lay beneath it all (deprevation)
No longer can it repulse the urge (indication)
Acts of auto aggressive rage (determination)
Reject the guise of abjection, misguided penance is born
Of guilt and deprecation, for sins that never were
To burn, to turn, a lesson almost learned
As fire fuels fire, as skin peels away, lifeblood and bone turn to ash
