Swimming In Jeans

You threw a party
My friends couldn't come
But that didn't stop me
Wasn't much going on
Now I'm in the backyard sipping slowly
Smoking cheap hand rolled cigarettes
And it's like nobody here noticed me
Like I'm just some walking silhouette
Got my feet in the pool
Leaning on the fence
As I stare at the stars
While everyone danced
You jumped the water
Still had on your vans
And I thought to myself
I wouldn't stand a chance
And you shouted
Who goes to a party
And then doesn't even
Talk to nobody
I swear it's not as strange as it seems
But I couldn't say the same for swimming in jeans
We talked for hours
And lost track of time
People were leaving
You didn't care why
Now we're in the backyard picking up
The empty cans and half smoked cigarettes
What a sinking feeling watching the Sun
Light up the sky when you haven't slept
So we jumped in the pool
In the deep end
You didn't say a word
You just pulled me in
We're surrounded by water
The heat of your skin
And I thought to myself
This is everything
And you shouted
Who goes to a party
And then doesn't even
