They say I was, and in fact, I'm not anymore
They say I had what I no longer want to have
What I was no longer matters
And what I did is in the sea of the Lord's forgetfulness
And I've really stopped to think and I don't have the answer
All I know is that there is a God who loves me and understands me
In the days of doubt and anguish I asked God
If you understand me, why don't you help me overcome all evil?
The flesh that my body is made of also came from you
