7 am breaks up the dreaming
Alarm clocks will ring and millions of people will be wishing they were sleeping
They'll pour their coffee and they couldn't tell you why but it's just what they do without thinking
And they'll sit spaced out, heads full of doubt, hope's already shrinking
Broken hearts put on brave faces and fight the front door
Empty bodies float down the streets and wash up on the shore
Lost souls are everywhere, and though I can't be sure
We're all just waiting for something more
As you're standing on sidewalk, the cars all seem to blur
And no one's smiling at you, no one seems to care
7 billion people in this world, so why don't I have anyone to call
But I start to look closely at the face notice that I'm not alone at all
