A Prism In Reverse

Arbouretum

Morning entered briskly with a melody receding
Underneath the water sinking in a well
There I gone again the creek the green the clustered buildings
Underneath the beams that held the meeting house

Here we laid our threads and here they interlace together
Join our voices like a prism in reverse
Here I first transfigured hymnal page to high aurora
As some flecks of dust flickered in shafts of Sun

Once I held a map and stared down at the lines and legend
Shifting [?] and dreams [?] fracture [?]
Past the boundaries of that world another lay beyond it
Faintly stirring there in even greater dream [?]

In a grey robe as the others were her hair tucked under
Plain as moonlight with a gentle form obscured
Brought a finger to her lips as she bade them to follow
In the thicket of a dark unending wood
